4-H Cloverbud Day Camp


4-H Cloverbud Day Camp registration is going on now. Camp Red Arrow is located in Stevensburg and will run daily from July 23rd thru July 26th. The camp is for ages 5-8 is $90 per child. If your a person with a disability or require special assistance to participate in this camp, contact the Virginia Cooperative Extension office by June 6th at 540-727-3435 between 8a-5p, Monday-Friday.

Make new friends, learn new skills, gain more independence, have fun with activities like crafts, there's fun foods, recreation and fun educational programs. There's daily themes too, like The Wonder of Nature, A Day on the Farm and the Beach Party. Orange County Summer Food Service Program


The program is to provide FREE nutritious meals for young people 18 years of age and younger at the Taylor Education and Admin. Center, the former Prospect Heights Middle School. Monday through Friday from June 17th through August 23rd. Breakfast is served 8:30-9:30am and lunch is served from noon-1pm. Sponsored by the Virginia Dept. of Health, the Virginia Dept. of Agriculture and in conjuntion with the Orange County Public Schools and the Orange County Boys and Girls Club.

It's Finally Friday in Louisa County


It's Summer fun in Louisa with the Louisa County Parks and Recreation and Tourism with It's Finally Friday.  Celebrate the end of the work week with this special concert series. The Final Friday in May, June and July! 6-9pm at Walkton Park, Corner of 6th St. and Louisa Ave. in Mineral. Bring the kids for the Moon Bouce, grab a bite to eat with the many food vendors and for those 21 and older, the beer and wine garden sponsored by the Mineral Fire Dept. Auxiliary. Dogs are welcome to attend and must be on a leash and YOU MUST clean up after your pet. $4 for adults, $3 for children 6-20. Ages 5 and under are free. Bring your own lawn chair, no coolers permitted.

The Louisa County Parks and Recreation Dept. and Louisa Tourism present Saturday in the Square. Courthouse Square in downtown Louisa County! No pets or outside coolers please and adult beverages will be sold to those 21 and over with ID.

Operation First Response Dollar Challenge


Operation First Response supports our nation’s Wounded Warriors and their families with personal and financial needs, from the onset of injury, throughout their recovery period and along their journey from military life into the civilian world. Established in Fauquier County in 2004, headquarters are now located in Culpeper County. Fauquier County Board of Supervisors Lee Sherbeyn initiated the Dollar Campaign Challenge in his county and is now challenging surrounding counties. Operation First Response is asking every resident from each county in the area and around the state to give $1 to serve the needs of Americas finest as they return home with injuries. Car Wash and Bake Sale Benefit


Get your car washed and buy some homemade baked goods on Saturday, June 22nd at Tractor Supply, located at 588 Culpeper Town Square in Culpeper. All proceeds go to the Culpeper Domestic Violence and Sexual Assult Task Force. This fundraiser will make it possible for speaker April Maley to speak at the 16th Annual Candlelight Vigil on Oct. 22nd.
