Free Concert in Mineral


The Mineral Business Association will hold a concert featuring Blue County Band on May 19th from 7 to 11 p.m. at Walton Park In Mineral. The concert is free to the public and food and drink will be available for purchase. Blue Country band is a five-member band of local musicians including, Scott Archer, a Louisa County resident and business owner and his brother, Todd Archer.  The band has been playing together since 1992 and plays a variety of country, southern rock, oldies, and some original music.

"Connections" Program


Sponsored by Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services and the Alzheimer's Association, "CONNECTIONS" is a free, 8-week, in-home program for family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease, or other age-related dementia. It is designed to help the family answer the question, "What can we do at home all day?" The program teaches care-giving families how to facilitate interesting, meaningful activities for their family member with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. Available to families in Madison, Orange, Culpeper, Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties. A person may participate no matter what the level of dementia - no formal diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease or other dementia is required.
